Yamini Krishnamurti Award

        On the 6th of April in New Delhi during the Silver Jubilee Dance Celebration organized by   Nritya Kaustubha at ICCR Azad Bhavan Hall, Dr Yamini Krishnamurti has honored Giovanna Leva   with an  award for her dedication to dance. In the photo Giovanna with the award and some of her young ballet students in Mumbai.

This item describes Lord Shiva when he returns to Chidambaram at the Golden Pavillion, as promised to the Sages, to perform the cosmic dance of bliss, Ananda Tandav. Ram Gopal made it very popular in the west in 1940 and after, being himself a great interpreter of compositions dedicated to this Deity.
