"KAUSTUBHA BALLET  has various activities. The main ones are teaching and performing.

The regular courses and workshops of Bharatanatyam and Bharatanrityam are conducted in Italy (Rome)  by Simona Sugoni ,Tiziana Giansante and Claudia Centaroli,  seniors students of Giovanna Leva Joglekar. There are classes for children and adults from beginners level to more advanced. 

The workshops and private classes are conducted by Giovanna L. J. only by appointment, both in Italy and India.

Ballet classes are conducted by Giovanna L. J. online and physical in Mumbai and Goa  thrice a week, both for children and adults.

Giovanna Leva Joglekar is a performer and dance teacher with a strong ballet technique from renowned Master Walter Venditti of "Teatro alla Scala" of Milan.She also trained at the Pineapple Centre in London and at the Rosella Hightower's "Centre de danse" in Cannes. She has danced in several productions in Italy like Complesso del Balletto Ambrosiano in Milan, Opera ballets choreographed by Roberto Fascilla for Compagnia Loredana Furno of Turin, Balletto di Bruno Fusco, Conservatorio Brera of Novara and Living Theater directed by Ellen Steward (La Mama), theater Company of Antonello Avallone of Rome to name a few. She moved to India in 1993 to study Bharatanatyam under the guidance of the legendary danseuse Yamini Krishnamurti with whom she has performed extensively in India and participated as a soloist at the Khajuraho Festival in 2005. Giovanna started collaborating in 2004 with dancer .Jayashree Rajagopalan with whom she specialized in Bharatanrityam and the Karanas Syllabus,  the unique style codified Padma Subhramaniam. Giovanna alternates periods in India and Italy, teaching and performing in both countries. In Italy she has participated as a soloist at the U.N. DAY event in Rome, at the RAI tv program Uno Mattina, Offbroadway for Mediascena Europa and more with her own company KAUSTUBHA DANZA at various major dance events in Rome and outside. She is currently working on some interesting new projects, one based on Bharatanrityam and Ballet and another one with experimental choreography based on traditional dhrupad compositions. For eight years she  regularly performed with the Nrityodhaya dance company of Mumbai. In April 2014 she received in New Delhi at ICCR Azad Bhavan hall the "Yamini Krishnamurti Award" for her dedication to dance.  For the past 12 years she has been running her own Institution KAUSTUBHA BALLET in India (Mumbai and Goa).

Italian disciple (G.Leva), whose western ballet
cum bharatanatyam blend in Natanam Adynar
in Vasant Raga, was both clever and very well
