"Danse Napolitaine" or "Tarantella" is a folk dance which has been incorporated in various Ballets with a classical touch. Tchaikovsky adapted one for Swan Lake. Sometimes it is performed on pointe, as a solo or in group formations. Maestro Venditti choreographed this tune many years ago. It is a song very popular in Naples (Napoli in Italian), from which the term "Napolitaine" originated.
